I have had dogs my whole life (I'm 53 now). I have been feeding my purebreed Alaskan Malamute puppy this canned food with the SCIENCE DIET dry dog food for large breed puppies since he was 2 months old. He is now 1 year old and graduating to the next level. In all my years of raising dogs, never have I seen such impressive results. I'm talking white teeth, clear eyes, beautiful coat, healthy nails...just amazing difference.

This dog food is suppose to be wet dog food it's like smashed up dry food in a can my dog has been on hills science for years and never had a problem till this year this is the second time this year what ever happened to quality control it's not like the food is cheap I cancelled my regular beef and barley entree hopefully the other flavour is ok

This canned food is good - not a high percentage of water. Amazon is not great for delivering cases of canned food as too often it gets damaged. This food is way too expensive to lose half the case to severe damage. I can't return it.

Flavour Name: Chicken & Barley Verified Purchase
Normally Hill's Science dog food is great. However, they didn't have the flavour we usually order so decided to try out the chicken. Big mistake. Our dog has been having diarrhea for days. We thought it may have been just the switch over between foods that upset her stomach, but after several nights of having to wake up in the wee hours and take her outside to explode on the pavement we have given up. Recommend you steer clear!

Not sure why my dogs didn't like this food, probably a bit bland for their taste as I tend to do a buffet in their bowls of lots of variety. I probably wouldn't buy this again for them. They are a bit like humans, they have certain likes and dislikes for food. Mind you if they were starving they would probably love it.

Please review and read articles previously published on several cases where dogs suffered from GDV/bloat due and fell sick due to this product.
About a month ago my boyfriend and I decided to purchase the salmon flavor for his dog who kept throwing up food back and not eating. We went ahead and decided to purchase this brand in a variety of flavors. However, my boyfriend then noticed several articles where Hills had to recall almost all of their list of wet dog food due to owners blaming this product for their dogs' deaths. From heart attacks to developing GDV and bloat there are claims of high level and deathly levels of vitamin D for dogs when they consumed this product. We ended up calling Amazon for a refund and cancellation of our order. We noticed our dog was having some signs of bloat and GDV like restlessness, constantly running around the house out of nowhere and even throwing back up some of the food and refusing to eat it when we served Hills.
PLEASE BE ALARMED AND DO PLENTY OF RESEARCH ON THEIR PRODUCTS IF YOU KNOW WHATS BEST FOR YOUR DOG.
